There was a lot of movement this week and it turns out every team (except for like two) are bad.
32. Cardinals. If not for Monday Night, the Cardinals would have lost the most boring game this week.
31. Raiders. They won this week, but are still the Raiders. Thus, they are 31.
30. Bills. Move Josh Allen to runningback and it'll fix all of your problems.
29. Jets. Sam Darnold out dueled Josh Allen in the battle of rookie QBs this week. Not very impressive, but they got the W.
28. Bengals. They hung around with the Chargers this week so that's commendable. Your reward: not moving down the rankings this week.
27. 49ers. They played hard again and their talent finally wasn't outclassed so they were actually able to win a game! Good for them!
26. Buccaneers. I was convinced Jameis and his center were going to come to blows today. The only thing more surprising that they didn't fight was that they Bucs actually were able to hang around with the Saints for one half.
25. Falcons. You knew they were losing this game. They still can't score in the Redzone and they were playing a team who had just fired their coach. A recipe for disaster and disaster ensued.
24. Dolphins. The Miracle in Miami will live forever in Dolphins history! For the Pats, it'll just be a speed bump they faced on their way to winning the division.
23. Redskins. They have officially run out of Quarterbacks as a team. If I were them I'd fold the rest of the season and just take my high draft pick. If I was a gambler then I'd bet against them the rest of the year.
22. Jaguars. I don't understand why Doug Marrone thought benching Blake Bortles was a good idea. Cody Kessler didn't do a single thing out there that was better than anything Blake could do. You gave Blake an extension last season so clearly you want him to be your future. Might as well keep him in and get your money's worth.
21. Lions. *yawns and takes nap*
20. Giants. Here it is. Here's the run I've been talking about! The winning streak to end the season that ruins the season of probably another team trying to make the playoffs and ruins the Giants' own draft pick.
19. Packers. If they didn't win this game I may have just dropped them out of the rankings all together. Also somehow the Packers are still in the hunt for the playoffs? I thought they were eliminated like 5 times now.
18. Browns. Baker played his second best game of the year on Sunday and they were lucky to catch the Panthers who are playing some of the worst football in the league currently. If you look at this season as a whole, to go from a team with zero wins to a team with now five (and could be closer to seven) is a huge improvement for a team that seemed dead in the water earlier this year.
17. Panthers. Cam Newton must be hurt. I can't think of any other reason as to why they would be struggling this much. I guess bad coaching, but you could blame that on half of the teams in the league.
16. Eagles. Tough OT loss to a division rival. This may have lost them the title and it severely hurts their chances of making the playoffs.
15. Broncos. The Broncos are bad again. They were good last week. Too bad that didn't last long.
14. Vikings. They are just the most recent victims of the Legion of Boom 2.0.
13. Steelers. They started out the season bad, then they became the best team in football, then they lost four in a row and are reeling to end the season. So goes the season of the Steelers.
12. Colts. They showed the Texans are human and they can lose. More importantly, they kept their chances to win the AFC South alive.
11. Titans. The only reason the Titans are this high is because everyone else lost and by default, since the Titans won, they needed to move up. Also Derrick Henry is apparently 2011 Adrian Peterson now.
10. Ravens. I know this hurt their playoff chances, but this OT loss to the Chiefs on the road is still an incredible feat for them to even compete in.
9. Patriots. Gronk is not a good safety and Belichick out coached himself on the final play in Miami. The Patriots need a team to beat up on in order to get their mojo back. Good thing they're playing the struggling Steelers next week.
8. Bears. The Bears took away the Rams's run game which took away the Ram's play-action. The Bears' gameplan was run to perfection and they made the Rams look silly as a result.
7. Seahawks. This game felt like a throwback to a few years ago when Seattle never got primetime games because networks were afraid that the Seahawks would beat teams too badly and make the game incredibly boring. The Seahawks did just that on Monday night.
6. Cowboys. That Amari Cooper trade is looking pretty good now and it turns out taking Leighton Vander Esch was the right pick in the draft. Is Jerry Jones GM of the year?
5. Texans. The Texans can be beat. I still think they're pretty good though so I won't drop them too much for losing a tough one to the Colts.
4. Chargers. They won again without Melvin Gordon and Ekeler had a good game after playing poorly last week in Pittsburgh. I have to tell myself not to overreact to the Chargers on Thursday when they lose to the Chiefs without their two best runningbacks playing.
3. Rams. Jared Goff couldn't handle the cold, and it is safe to say "the cold bothered him anyway".
2. Saints. The Saints avenged their Week 1 loss to the Bucs and survived an outdoor game which may have helped secure the number 1 spot in the NFC. This means they may not have to leave the Dome during the playoffs at all this year.
1. Chiefs. Mahomes threw a no look pass and the team has rebounded well after losing their number 1 runningback for the entire year. They deserve the number 1 spot this week.
